Volunteer of the Year Recipient at Bello Gardens Assisted Living & Greenwood Assisted Living: Charlotte Hendrey!

On Friday, October 10th, our founder, Charlotte Hendrey was awarded Bello Gardens Assisted Living and Greenwood Assisted Living's Volunteer of the Year reward!

Completing 100+ hours across both facilities this year, Charlotte showed outstanding work serving as the two facilities' Youth Activities Assistant under Shelley Katz.

Charlotte's volunteers from her local chapter of Hearts and Hands have completed a total of 500+ hours together.

Charlotte, a current 10th grader, has brought dozens of new volunteers to Bello Gardens and Greenwood and leads beloved activities such as cookie decorating and holiday celebrations. She also partnered with Children for Change to bring young students to visit and with Love Is The Answer (LITA) to host Christmas and Halloween events for both facilities.

If you are a Hearts and Hands volunteer in Marin, California, you can also be eligible for this award. Those who complete a total of 50+ hours at either/both Bello Gardens Assisted Living and Greenwood Assisted Living will be considered.
